What To Expect:
Our one-one-one individual counseling sessions provide you with personalized direction when you want to make sustainable dietary and lifestyle changes. Each session is tailored specifically to you and dedicated to empowering you to reach your goals!
Initial Appointment:
55-85 minutes
During the first appointment, you and your dietitian will explore your:
- Past medical history
- Eating habits
- Diet history
- Relationship with food
- Barriers to meeting your nutrition-related goals
The first part of the session is devoted to collecting information on your past and getting to know you, while the second part of the session is focusing on personalized education to help you feel empowered, planning, and goal setting. You will walk away from the session with confidence and a clear plan of action to reach your goals!
Follow Up Appointment:
55 minutes
Your dietitian will recommend a frequency on your:
- Medical history
- Lifestyle habits
- Personal goals
The decision is up to you on how often you want to schedule visits.
Meal Support Session:
30 minutes
Your dietitian may recommend meal support sessions in addition to follow-up sessions to aid in your eating disorder recovery. You must have regularly scheduled sessions to use this supplemental service. You and your dietitian will decide the frequency of these visits. Meal support sessions involve:
- Accountability in following meal plan
- Eating a snack or meal together
- Support in coping with eating disorder thoughts or behavior urges in the moment
- De-briefing after the meal
