Maritza Esquivel

Maritza is a bilingual Registered Dietitian dedicated to supporting patients on their journeys towards a long-term healthy lifestyle. She is passionate about teaching the importance of nourishing the body through a non-diet approach that fosters a positive relationship with food and supports sustainable change.

She earned her Master in Clinical Nutrition from UT Southwestern School of Health Professions in August 2025. Before transitioning into dietetics, Maritza received her Bachelor’s in Broadcasting from UT Arlington and worked as a news producer at a local Spanish-language station. Her career change was driven by a passion for primary prevention in public health, witnessing the effects of chronic disease on relatives, and a desire to bring greater diversity to the field of dietetics.

With clinical interests in weight wellness, diabetes management, and metabolic health, Maritza draws on her diverse background in community health, endocrinology, and pediatrics to provide evidence-based nutrition strategies tailored to each patient

Outside of work, Maritza stays active through weightlifting, running, and dancing. You can also find her exploring coffee shops and restaurants around Dallas.
