FAQs About Doherty Nutrition Payment Options
We’re in-network with most major insurance providers, including Aetna, BlueCross BlueShield, Cigna, Humana, UnitedHealthcare, Medicare Part B, and more. Since coverage for nutrition counseling varies by plan, we recommend contacting your insurance provider directly to confirm your specific benefits.
A superbill is an itemized receipt you receive after your appointment. It includes details such as the services provided, fees, and medical billing codes. You can submit this document to your insurance company for potential reimbursement or to verify medical expenses for HSA/FSA purposes.
We don’t currently offer payment plans.
Yes, we accept Medicare. However, coverage is limited to clients with Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes, chronic kidney disease, or a kidney transplant (within the past three years). Please ensure your referral includes a qualifying diagnosis for Medicare to process and cover the visit.
