Faith-Based Nutrition Counseling
While many people hold faith as a central piece of who they are, it can sometimes get lost throughout the course of medical care. Our Faith-based dietitians recognize that faith and health can go hand in hand, and we would love the opportunity to support clients in all aspects of their health journey.
How a Faith-Based nutrition approach can help when it comes to nutrition:
Respecting the bodily temple you live in by learning to fuel the body adequately and take care of its needs.
Working on your body image through God’s eyes.
Viewing your health as a whole person (mind, body, and soul).
Leaning on God’s truths for coping with difficult situations, rather than food.
Allowing for a stronger and more impactful dietitian-client relationship by supporting your beliefs, values, and priorities.

FAQs About Faith-Based Nutrition Counseling
Many insurance plans cover nutrition counseling as a preventative or medical service, regardless of whether you choose faith-based or traditional counseling. Depending on your policy, you may pay $0 out of pocket or have standard copays/deductibles. We’re in-network with most major providers, so we invite you to verify your insurance benefits with us!
You can work with a faith-based dietitian at select in-person offices in Texas, as well as through telehealth! Our telehealth services are available in several states, including Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Delaware, Illinois, Iowa, Michigan, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, Utah, Virginia, and Wisconsin.
Your first appointment (55-85 minutes) helps us get to know you and set personalized goals. We’ll discuss your medical history, meal patterns, and relationship with food, as well as how your faith intertwines with your nutrition goals.
Getting started is easy! So we can learn more about you and match you with a dietitian, you can fill out our request counseling form. If you already have a faith-based dietitian in mind, you can book directly online.
